Damien Flood graduated with a BA in Painting from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology, Dublin in 2003. In 2008 he graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, with a MFA, Painting. His work is grounded in early writings on philosophy, theology, alchemy and the natural sciences and explores the mutability of ‘reality’ and language.
This week Damien finished his second block of classes in the Schoolhouse for Art.
For the past 4 weeks Damien has given classes in “an introduction into abstract” on Wednesday evenings.
His students have really enjoyed the class citing an “excellent overall experience”, “excellent in Value for money” and “excellent tuition” in our online survey, however; what really says it all is the returning students.
It is evident from the work produced by the group that Damien done a terrific job guiding his students, they all seem to have really understood his concept and style.
The work that the students produced is fabulous and very interesting, it is fair to say they have mastered this gentle introduction into abstract art, no doubt we will see some of them again soon.
