AngelaEW_profileImage.jpg

Angela is a water colour artist who also works with pencils and polychromos pencils. She lives in the west of Ireland County Mayo. Her art aims to please and to help the viewer see the regular things that we miss through the busy fast pace of modern life.

Angela has exhibited work all over Ireland and the U.K. at the moment has her work on display at the Cowley gallery in Derry N.I. Her work is in private collections in Ireland, U.K., U.S.A, Canada, Sydney(AUS.). The American embassy in Brussels and the Red Cross headquarters in The Hague. She has one piece in the Watercolour Society of Ireland's permanent collection held in the University of Limerick.

Angela started painting full time after serious illness in 2000. “Illness gets you thinking about the normal things in life, why I don’t know, but it does. Possibly because time stands still giving you the chance to see. I got to thinking about what is around me and how beautiful ordinary everyday objects are and why I have never seen them as beautiful objects before now.”

So, she started to paint them, bread and butter, jam pots etc all everyday objects in her home
