About this workshop

This is the first of 2 workshops that PJ is facilitating here at the Schoolhouse for Art. (The 2nd will focus on Still Life ) .

As an illustrator, PJ continues to paint and draw regularly from life as a way of keeping his skills honed, however, in recent years he has painted and drawn more and more just for the challenge, and for the sheer love of it. He wishes to share the passion for representational art with the artists who join his course.

Artists will paint in oils and draw in charcoal, and the subjects will be people for this course and objects for his other. Artists will work hard, will learn techniques and theories, and, PJ promises, “ a lot of fun too”. The second image below is Mr Michael McWilliams, who has worked with the Schoolhouse for Art, looking good Michael!
