Over the course of this 2-day workshop we will look at 2 different aspects of Pastel Drawing.

The first Day will be spent creating works through a layering process with a limited palette - concentrating on subtle atmospheric effects.

The second will involve a technique of ‘optical mixing’ which involves a progressive building up of hatched marks of pure colour in a process similar to pointillism.

On each day we will commence with several preliminary studies building up to a finished larger work.
