November | Pastels | 1 Day Workshop | David West

This sold out one day workshop took place in November in the Schoolhouse for Art Enniskerry.

The workshop was an intensive day long course looking at creating atmospheric pastel drawings concentrating on the Landscape. During the course of the day students studied elements of composition, creating harmony within the work, layering, colour mixing and pastel drawing techniques.

The theoretical elements were then put into practice by working on 2 separate landscape drawings.

"It was a very enjoyable and educational day. He is a wonderful teacher, so clear in his instruction and clearly is such a talented artist. One of the best things about his workshop was that he made us all feel confident and enabled us to discover what was possible".
