ABOUT THIS COURSE

Steve will show students his approach to acrylic painting and teach how to handle the unique characteristics of acrylics. During the course students will learn about perspective, colour mixing and other techniques that will help students gain confidence and develop their own style of painting..

Steve will take students through a variety of demonstrations with step-by-step instructions as well as encouraging and guiding students to work in their own style and pace.

Suitable for artists of all levels.

Materials needed

1. Good quality acrylic paints, such as Winsor and Newton (artist quality if possible). Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Hookers Green, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red.

2. Range of long handle, brushes. Both nylon and hog hair.

3. Panels, 6x8, 8x10, 10x12.

4. Stay wet pallet for acrylics

5. Cleaning rags/tissues

6. Water container
