About This Still life with Pastels Workshop

Over the course of this two day workshop, Dave will help participants to explore the exciting medium of pastel, through his own unique style : concentrating on mark-making and preserving the intense colour vibrancy of pastel while colour mixing!

Through a series of short step-by-step demonstrations and one-to-one guidance, Dave will break down the process of creating a still life pastel drawing into simple & enjoyable tasks.

Initially we will look at Subject, Planning and Composition and then move into studying the shape and geometry of our still life setup.

The course is suitable for all levels and previous experience in using soft/chalk pastels is not essential, but participants should have a basic competency in drawing skills.
