about this workshop

Alcohol ink painting on synthetic paper is a contemporary art technique that has captured the imagination of artists worldwide. This unique medium combines vibrant alcohol inks with synthetic paper to produce mesmerising and unpredictable patterns, providing an ideal canvas for artistic exploration.

Alcohol inks are known for their intense, translucent colours. When applied to synthetic paper, they interact in unique ways, creating a vibrant and almost hypnotic effect. The inks can be layered to achieve stunning depth and complexity in your artwork. The inks tend to flow and spread organically, creating beautiful, fluid patterns that are impossible to replicate exactly. This element of surprise is what makes each artwork truly one-of-a- kind.

Despite its unpredictable nature, during this workshop you can exercise a degree of control over alcohol ink. Techniques like blowing, tilting, and using tools to manipulate the flow of ink are commonly employed to achieve desired effects. This balance between control and spontaneity adds an exciting dimension to the creative process.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or just embarking on your creative journey, alcohol ink painting on synthetic paper embraces all levels of expertise, offering boundless avenues for creative discovery.
