MEET ED REYNOLDS
Ed Reynolds is an Irish painter who explores the fundamental principles of light, perspective, form and atmosphere in his work. He is a highly energetic artist, dedicated to the artistic process and quality. Thorough, in the design and presentation of any commission, paying particular attention to preparation and professional artistic practice. His work often explores everyday subjects — streets, shorelines, coffee shops, urban life — and he works both in the studio and on location (plein air) to engage directly with his environments.
Ed’s work focuses on making the ordinary a little more extraordinary. He also describes his creative process as one of revealing the painting’s formation — rather than concealing it —‘ showing the viewer “how a painting comes together”.
