MEET ELAINE HALL
Elaine Hall is a visual artist based in County Wicklow, Ireland, working primarily in oils, acrylics, and mixed media. Her practice spans semi-abstract and abstract landscapes, still lifes, and florals, blending expressive mark-making with rich layers of colour and texture. Deeply influenced by the rhythms of rural life, Elaine balances her creative practice with her work as a dairy farmer, a connection that continually informs her sensitivity to nature, place, and process. Elaine was selected to be a wild card on Lanscape artist of the year in 2022 and has also exhibited her work in group exhibitions and her own solo exhibition this year 2025.
Alongside her painting practice, Elaine explores printmaking through etching and lino, developing tactile works that echo the textures of the Irish landscape. She is an experienced art tutor, passionate about nurturing creativity within her community. Based in her Gorey studio, she is also Chairperson of the Gorey Art Collective, supporting and promoting local artistic collaboration and engagement.
