MEET LIZET DINGEMANS
This course is taught by Lizet Dingemans, an award-winning, classically trained artist based in Stroud, where she teaches both in person, as well as online with Raw Umber Studios.
She studied Fine Art at the Angel Academy in Florence in 2011 and went on to complete her training at London Atelier of Representational Art (LARA), graduating in 2016. Her work draws on the traditions of classical realism while maintaining a fresh, contemporary sensitivity to colour and form.
Lizet lives and works in Stroud, where she combines her studio practice with teaching. Her paintings have been collected in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and the USA. In 2016, she appeared as a contestant on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year and was nominated for Artists & Illustrators magazine’s Artist of the Year award in 2018. In 2025, she received the Gordon Hulson Prize at the Royal British Artists annual exhibtion, her second award there.
