MEET STEPHANIE PEPPARD
Born into a creative home in Dublin, Stephanie has been sketching and painting since she was a child. Her father, architect and artist Louis Peppard, taught all his children watercolour from a young age, while her mother encouraged Stephanie and her siblings to draw from the time they could hold a pencil.
During her career as a nurse Stephanie continued to draw and paint, finding it a beneficial tool to combat the stress after a hectic shift, and found time to attend evening courses in art. She looked to bring those benefits of art to her patients, running art classes and setting up and curating the St Vincentās Private Hospital art exhibition.
Stephanieās joyful, uplifting and expressive watercolour pieces come from her ability to find the beauty in the everyday as she captures the world around her. Since retirement, Stephanie has found great fulfillment in dedicating more time to creating, painting every day and sharing her work on her successful instagram account @stephaniepeppard_art. She has had great success in selling her work in local markets and by private commission.
Stephanie is a firm believer that art isnāt a talent, but that anyone can draw and paint with practice and a passion to do so. She hopes that in the safe, non judgemental and fun atmosphere of her class she can encourage you to also find joy in drawing and painting what you see in front of you.
