aBOUT THE COURSE

Join artist Brígh Strawbridge for an immersive 6-week painting course that explores the beauty and complexity of water in all its forms. Over the course of six sessions, you’ll develop your skills progressively, with each week building on the last - moving from foundational techniques to finished, confident paintings.

Whether your inspiration comes from the crashing sea, a calm flowing river, or water caught in a vase with flowers, you’ll have the freedom to pursue your own subject matter while being guided step by step.

Each week includes a mix of group demonstrations and personalised one-to-one tuition. Brígh will help you identify your natural painting style and suggest methods that suit your individual strengths, so you can get a sense of your own artistic voice.

This course is designed for all levels - from beginners wanting a solid start to more experienced painters looking to refine their approach.

Students bring their own materials. While oils are the primary medium, acrylics are welcome for initial layers if you prefer.

This is just the beginning. The course is structured so that by the end of 6 weeks, you'll have built real momentum but you'll also have only scratched the surface of what's possible. For those who wish to go deeper, Brígh offers the opportunity to continue straight into a follow-on 6-week course, where you can develop your chosen subject further, tackle new challenges, and keep growing as an artist in a supportive, ongoing group.

Whether you join for one term or many, you'll leave each stage with fresh skills, new work, and the confidence to keep painting.
